Sophie I. Myers

Counsel

Rigby Slack Lawrence Pepper + Comerford, PLLC

Sophie’s law practice focuses on civil litigation, including complex commercial disputes, real property issues, landlord tenant disputes, and employment matters. Sophie has experience representing property managers, real estate developers and investors, tech companies, and financial service companies in a variety of business disputes. Sophie also represents small and mid-sized companies in employment matters, including investigations, non-compete issues, and misappropriation of trade secret cases. Sophie prides herself on being detail oriented, trustworthy and a zealous advocate for clients, but never loses sight of what is in the client’s best business and economic interests. Amid the industry-wide preference for resolving disputes before trial, Sophie feels fortunate that she has had the opportunity to successfully try several cases to verdict, including both bench and jury trials in both state and federal court.

Prior to joining Rigby Slack, Sophie practiced as an associate at Meister Seelig & Fein, LLP in New York City, where she worked on high stakes commercial litigation matters often involving real estate. Sophie started her career as an associate at boutique law firm representing financial institutions, including broker dealers and investment advisors in FINRA arbitrations.

Sophie graduated with honors from Boston University (2007). Sophie attended New York Law School (2012) where she served as a judicial intern for two New York Supreme Court Justices, Hon. Sidney F. Stauss (Ret.) and Hon. Joseph J. Espositio.

Sophie was born and raised in Newport Beach, California. After spending almost two decades in New York City, in 2020 Sophie happily made Austin, Texas her home. Sophie lives in Westlake with her husband, three adorable young children, and dog.  Sophie and her husband are committed to teaching their children how to become avid skiers and snowboarders.
