- Community Involvement
Rigby Slack is committed to giving back to our community and supporting causes that are important to our team. A few examples of the firm’s community involvement are listed below.
Allies Against Slavery
David Lawrence, Partner, is a Board Member for Allies Against Slavery, a non-profit organization devoted to ending human trafficking. Through his involvement with the organization, Rigby Slack contributes its expertise to assist with the organization's various legal needs, helps guide the direction of the organization and actively raises funds for the organization's operations.
Austin Sunshine Camps
A number of Rigby Slack attorneys have volunteered with Austin Sunshine Camps, often through their involvement with the Young Men’s Business League. Our team has spent time with campers canoeing on Lady Bird Lake, making repairs to Zilker Lodge and acting as short-term camp counselors, joining in on group games and playground time.
Helping Hand Home
Rigby Slack has contributed to Helping Hand Home’s Capital Campaign to expand its capacity to serve more children and families, and the firm’s support has grown into a family affair for many of our attorneys. The firm and our families regularly host holiday treat parties for Helping Hand Home children and volunteer at the organization’s annual Crystal Ball gala event.
Save Muny
Many of the Rigby Slack attorneys are avid golfers outside of the office and are passionate about the Save Muny project. Our firm supports The Muny Conservancy financially and looks forward to enjoying the Lions Municipal Golf Course for years to come.
