Matt is a skilled and experienced healthcare and commercial real estate transactions lawyer. His healthcare practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions of medical practices and ambulatory surgery centers, and compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations (e.g., the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute and Physician Self-Referral Law) for medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers and hospital systems. In Matt’s commercial real estate practice, he assists clients with the purchase, development, leasing and financing of commercial properties throughout the United States.

Before joining Rigby Slack, Matt served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of a large, physician-owned multispecialty healthcare organization in Austin. Matt is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and South Texas College of Law Houston, and is an active supporter of Texas A&M athletics through his involvement in the 12th Man Foundation. When not spending time with his wife and four children or coaching youth sports in Dripping Springs, Matt enjoys golfing with friends, family road trips and reading good books on his back porch.
