Pat is Board-Certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and an experienced litigator. He represents companies and individuals in all types of matters, from single plaintiff employment cases to class and collective actions. He has considerable experience with employee mobility issues, such as misappropriation of trade secrets and non-compete/non-solicitation cases. And he has litigation and transactional experience involving executive employment agreements, intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation. Pat is also a certified mediator.

Prior to joining Rigby Slack, Pat was a Principal and Office Litigation Manager for the Austin office of Jackson Lewis. He has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thompson Reuters every year since 2012, and in 2023, Pat was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America by BL Rankings for work in trade secrets law.

Pat has three kids and enjoys running, reading, live music, traveling and a variety of sports including Texas A&M football, Austin FC and the Houston Astros. Pat 2.0, along with Pat 1.0, leads the firm’s “Quoting 1980s and 1990s Movies” section.
